Last season, Sally LaPointe showed us the power of monochromatic outfits by mixing luxurious monochrome separates in different textures together. At New York Fall Winter Fashion Week on Tuesday, the designer developed this concept further, in a bolder, shinier and unapologetic fashion.
“The Fall 2020 collection started with the idea of there being no rules.” The chartreuse yellow jumping onto the gloomy runway like disco lights, shining fearlessly in the dark night. The snake silk jacquard coat was detailed with ostrich feathers and paired with turtleneck merino silk cashmere and matching trousers. Luxurious fabric remains a priority at Sally LaPointe. In another style, satin draped neck tank and trousers set was styled underneath wool jacket of the same color. The looks are fierce and energetic, while still elegant and glamorous.

Another high saturation color is teal blue, or Cerulean blue, very much like the Patone color of the year 2020 – classic blue. With matching satin tops, patent leather jacket and skirt, silk cape cardigan etc, the looks are exceptionally fresh and chic. This season also marks Sally’s first attempt at accessories by designing matching belt bags which have been trending in the past year.

More electric plum variations with interesting details such as leather skirt with sarong ties.
If those head-to-toe single colors aren’t striking enough for you, there are other more sparkling options such as the plum iridescent draped-neck tank with sarong skirt, and the bronze iridescent blazer with pintuck pants.
