(本文为博主于2015年11月16日发表于倾听华尔街官网) 近日，高盛集团公布新提拔的425位Managing Director(董事总经理)名单, 其中三分之一为80后，四分之一为女性，亚洲人比例占五分之一，而华人约38人，占百分之九。 Managing Director (MD)作为在投资银行仅低于Partner (管理合伙人) 的职位，一般需要12-15年工作经验 (从Analyst开始)，年薪非常可观。通常底薪可达40万美元，再加上各类奖励最终收入可逾百万。 据纽约时报提供的数字，此次大规模提升的MD中，有20%就职于亚洲，其中包括4%在印度，而就职于美洲的占54%, 欧洲26%。 倾听华尔街记者通过对新提拔的董事总经理的LinkedIn个人资料分析, 发现在这425位新晋MD中，约有五分之一是亚裔，其中包括三分之一印度裔，而华人占亚裔MD的二分之一。同时, 记者发现这些华人MD的教育背景和职业生涯也有一定的共同点，在此总结出来希望能为对投行感兴趣的读者的求学和求职计划有所帮助。 常青藤背景是主流 首先，这些华人MD几乎全部具有欧美名校的教育背景。据记者统计，除14位LinkedIn资料未明确教育信息的MD以外，其他人24位均有欧美国家留学经历，其中以美国最多。其中有17位MD毕业于美国前十名大学，至少14位MD毕业于诸如宾夕法尼亚大学，哥伦比亚大学，康奈尔大学等常青藤名校。高盛等知名投行通常有自己的”target school”，作为校园招聘的主要对象，所以即使一些MD本科阶段就读于中国重点大学或美国前50大学，我们也会发现他们还曾在常青藤名校取得硕士或博士学位。除美国前十名大学外，也有几位MD毕业于英国前5名大学，例如牛津，剑桥，伦敦政治经济学院。 工商管理硕士最热门 工商管理硕士(MBA)作为众所周知的管理层人员深造学习的学位，无论在中国还是美国报考热度都成逐年快速上升的趋势。虽然近年来各大商学院均纷纷开设MBA课程或扩招等，令人们质疑MBA的含金量下降，但记者统计发现，24位资料可见的华人MD中，近一半取得MBA学位，大多在美国常青藤名校或前十名非常青藤大学如麻省理工，斯坦福等；5人取得名校工程 (Engineering)或计算机科学(Computer Science)博士, 另有极少数取得其他学位如计算机科学硕士，金融科学硕士等。很多高盛员工通过学士学位进入高盛，经过几年工作后，通常会选择去知名商学院攻读MBA，其中以宾大的沃顿商学院和哈佛商学院最受欢迎。也有一部分华人MD在获得MBA学位后进入高盛。可见MBA学位本身是很好的深造机会，但是想进入知名投行，名校无论从教学资源还是校友资源来讲都具有不可比拟的优势。 “从一而终”晋升快 高盛新晋升的华人MD大多在纽约和香港工作，从事领域包括投资银行，企业并购，投资管理，销售与交易，数量策略，技术部门等。在20位职业信息可见的华人MD中，有一半是一毕业即加入高盛工作。Business Insider网站也指出，40%的新MD是从初级分析师(Analyst)开始做起，可见高盛近年来努力留住为公司效力多年的人才。这些之前提到的”target school”的毕业生进入高盛通常从Analyst做起，有些硕士毕业生从Associate做起，还有一小部分博士毕业后作为策略师加入高盛。从高盛的Analyst做起的直到升为MD平均需要13年，很多华人MD毕业后在咨询行业作分析师，咨询师，或在其他投行和投资公司就职，之后加入高盛, 这样的职业道路晋升至高盛的MD平均约需要16年。最近高盛又推出了一系列政策加速初级分析师的晋升之路，鼓励员工留在公司，所以想在高盛晋升至MD, “从一而终”或许是最快的途径。 由此次高盛新提拔的MD名单来看，华人MD通常大多具有美国常青藤或Top 10名校背景和MBA 学位, 而从毕业后就加入高盛工作的员工晋升至MD的平均用时最短。有趣的是，虽然大多数华人MD具有MBA等管理或金融学学位，但很多华人的本科学位却很多元化：例如生物学，音乐，国际关系，数学等。他们在本科毕业后也直接加入高盛，只是在工作若干年后再去商学院进修。
